Job Description

Welcome to General Dynamics! We are seeking an experienced Government Contracts Manager to join our team and lead the management and administration of our government contracts. As a Government Contracts Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulations and driving the success of our projects. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations and experience in negotiating and managing contracts.   1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of government contracts, including proposal development, negotiation, and contract administration.
  2. Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal acquisition regulations and company policies.
  3. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with government agencies and subcontractors.
  4. Leading contract negotiations to obtain favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  5. Conducting thorough reviews of contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop effective contract strategies and solutions.
  7. Ensuring timely and accurate submission of contract deliverables and reports.
  8. Proactively identifying and resolving any contract-related issues or disputes.
  9. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to government contracts.
  10. Developing and implementing processes and procedures to streamline contract management and improve efficiency.
  11. Coordinating and communicating with internal stakeholders, such as legal, finance, and project management teams, to ensure alignment and compliance with contract requirements.
  12. Providing guidance and support to other team members on contract-related matters.
  13. Monitoring contract performance and identifying areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
  14. Ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping for all contract activities.
  15. Representing the company in meetings with government officials and participating in industry conferences and events.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Government Contract Management, Preferably In The Defense Industry.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal Acquisition Regulations (Far) And Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (Dfar).

  • Strong Negotiation And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage Relationships With Government Agencies And Subcontractors.

  • Experience In Developing And Managing Contract Budgets And Financial Reporting.
