- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately fabricate parts and components.
- Utilize various materials, such as metal and composite materials, to fabricate high-quality products.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of production goals and targets.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all products meet company standards and customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues or equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Continuously review and suggest improvements to production processes to increase efficiency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
Experience In Metal Fabrication: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Metal Fabrication, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Production Environment.
Proficiency In Welding Techniques: This Role Requires The Ability To Perform Various Welding Techniques Such As Mig, Tig, And Stick Welding. The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Welding Principles And Be Able To Produce High-Quality Welds.
Knowledge Of Blueprint Reading: Fabricators At General Dynamics Must Be Able To Interpret Technical Drawings And Blueprints To Produce Accurately Fabricated Parts And Assemblies. This Requires A Strong Understanding Of Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing (Gd&T).
Familiarity With Fabrication Equipment: The Candidate Should Be Familiar With A Variety Of Fabrication Equipment Such As Shears, Brakes, Saws, And Grinders. They Should Also Have The Ability To Set Up And Operate These Machines Safely And Efficiently.
Attention To Detail: Precision And Accuracy Are Crucial In Fabrication Work, And The Candidate Should Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure That All Parts And Assemblies Meet The Required Specifications. They Should Also Be Able To Identify And Troubleshoot Any Potential Issues That May Arise During The Fabrication Process.
