  1. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop detailed design plans for military and government equipment.
  2. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate and efficient technical drawings and models.
  3. Review and analyze project specifications and requirements to ensure designs meet client needs and industry standards.
  4. Conduct quality checks on drawings and models to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  5. Make necessary revisions to designs based on feedback and testing results.
  6. Communicate and coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to continuously improve design processes.
  8. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as government regulations, in all design work.
  9. Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of all design processes and changes.
  10. Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs can be manufactured efficiently and effectively.
  11. Take initiative to identify and troubleshoot design issues and propose solutions.
  12. Attend meetings and presentations to discuss and present design concepts and progress.
  13. Contribute to a positive and productive work environment by actively participating in team meetings and offering support to colleagues when needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Proficiency In Autocad And Other Drafting Software: The Ideal Candidate For A Drafter Job At General Dynamics Should Have A Strong Command Over Autocad And Other Drafting Software. This Includes The Ability To Create Accurate And Detailed Technical Drawings, As Well As Familiarity With 3D Modeling Techniques.
