  1. Conduct digitization processes for historical documents and artifacts, using specialized equipment and software.
  2. Ensure accuracy and quality of digitized materials, paying close attention to details and following established protocols.
  3. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement digitization strategies and workflows.
  4. Manage digitization project timelines and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
  5. Troubleshoot technical issues with scanning and imaging equipment to ensure efficient and effective digitization processes.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation of digitization processes and outcomes.
  7. Monitor and maintain the condition of physical records and artifacts during the digitization process.
  8. Stay updated on advancements in digitization technology and techniques, and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Adhere to proper handling and preservation techniques for historical materials, following established guidelines and standards.
  10. Communicate with stakeholders, including historians, archivists, and researchers, to understand their needs and ensure the accessibility of digitized materials.
  11. Follow security protocols to protect the confidentiality and integrity of historical materials.
  12. Train and supervise interns and volunteers assisting with digitization projects.
  13. Collaborate with other departments or organizations to share digitized materials and promote the preservation of history.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards, while performing job duties.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Library And Information Science, Digital Media, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Digitization And Preservation Of Various Media Formats, Including Paper Documents, Photographs, Audio And Video Recordings.

  • Proficiency In Industry-Standard Digitization Software, Such As Adobe Creative Suite, Abbyy Finereader, And Archivematica.

  • Knowledge Of Metadata Standards And Best Practices For Organizing And Describing Digital Assets.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously, With A Focus On Meeting Deadlines And Maintaining Quality Control.
