  1. Develop and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with government regulations and company policies.
  2. Conduct security briefings and trainings for employees on security protocols and procedures.
  3. Monitor and maintain security clearance records for all employees and contractors.
  4. Coordinate and facilitate security clearances for new employees and contractors.
  5. Conduct regular security audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
  6. Investigate and report any security breaches or violations to appropriate authorities.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance with security regulations.
  8. Manage access control systems and procedures for classified areas.
  9. Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to ensure security requirements are met for specific projects.
  10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security regulations and industry best practices.
  11. Develop and implement emergency response plans in case of security threats.
  12. Respond to security incidents and conduct thorough investigations.
  13. Develop and maintain security plans for off-site locations and remote employees.
  14. Coordinate with external security consultants and contractors as needed.
  15. Communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive security program across the company.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Security Clearance Procedures: The Contractor Program Security Officer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Security Clearance Procedures, Including The Completion Of Sf-86 Forms, Background Investigations, And Handling Of Classified Information.

  • Experience In Industrial Security: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working In Industrial Security, Preferably In A Defense Or Government Contracting Environment. This Includes Knowledge Of Security Regulations, Policies, And Procedures Set By The Department Of Defense And Other Government Agencies.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Contractor Program Security Officer Is Responsible For Communicating And Coordinating With Various Stakeholders, Including Government Agencies, Program Managers, And Other Security Personnel. Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Familiarity With Security Systems And Technology: General Dynamics Uses Various Security Systems And Technology To Protect Classified Information. The Contractor Program Security Officer Should Have A Working Knowledge Of These Systems, Including Access Control, Cctv, And Intrusion Detection.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As The Primary Security Point Of Contact For A Program, The Contractor Program Security Officer Should Possess Leadership And Management Skills To Oversee And Manage A Team Of Security Personnel. This Includes Providing Training And Guidance, Conducting Security Audits, And Ensuring Compliance With Security Regulations.
