Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as the SGSS Assistant Global Warehousing Operations Manager at General Atomics. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating our global warehousing operations.   1. Manage and coordinate global warehousing operations for General Atomics, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place to meet company goals and objectives.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations, including inventory management, space utilization, and logistics.
  3. Oversee the day-to-day activities of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performance and productivity.
  4. Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  5. Lead and facilitate cross-functional collaboration with other departments, such as procurement and transportation, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of warehouse operations with overall supply chain strategy.
  6. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  7. Identify and implement new technologies and systems to enhance warehouse operations and increase efficiency.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  9. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on warehouse performance, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in warehouse management to continuously improve operations and maintain a competitive edge.
  11. Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to excellence in all aspects of warehouse operations.
  12. Mentor and develop team members, providing coaching and feedback to support their growth and development.
  13. Ensure compliance with all safety and security procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
  14. Collaborate with other members of the Supply Chain team to develop and implement global supply chain strategies to support company goals and objectives.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the Global Warehousing Operations Manager or senior management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Warehouse Operations, Preferably In A Global Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Inventory Management, Distribution, And Shipping/Receiving Processes.

  • Experience With Warehouse Management Software And Systems, Such As Sap Or Oracle.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Manage A Diverse Team In A Fast-Paced Environment.
