- Develop and design ground support equipment (GSE) for aerospace projects in accordance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers to ensure timely and efficient completion of GSE projects.
- Conduct research and stay updated on the latest advancements in GSE technology and implement them in our projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to integrate GSE with aircraft systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis for new GSE designs and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols in the design and use of GSE.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of GSE designs, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Test and troubleshoot GSE to identify and resolve any technical issues.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary components and materials for GSE.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on GSE design progress and potential roadblocks.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of GSE within budgetary constraints.
- Conduct training sessions for engineers and technicians on the use and maintenance of GSE.
- Continuously evaluate and improve GSE design processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to showcase our GSE capabilities and network with potential clients.
- Adhere to company values and promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Designing And Maintaining Ground Support Equipment For Aerospace Or Defense Industries.
Expertise In Cad Software And Other Engineering Tools For Designing And Analyzing Equipment.
Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Ground Support Equipment, Such As Mil-Std-1791 And Iso 4126.
Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills, With Experience In Leading Teams And Managing Complex Projects From Conception To Completion.
