Quality Engineer - Metrology/CMM

General Atomics is looking for a Quality Engineer – Metrology/CMM to join our dynamic team in San Diego, California. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a passion for quality engineering. They will be responsible for performing quality engineering activities within the Metrology/CMM lab and on the shop floor within our manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Science or related field and 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with specific experience in Metrology/CMM. They will have a strong working knowledge of metrology, GD&T, inspection techniques and techniques for the interpretation of CMM data. Candidates should have the ability to troubleshoot and identify root cause of quality issues, understand and follow detailed instructions and have excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will also have a working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 standards and be able to write and maintain quality documentation.
