Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Proposal Manager in our Energy Group at General Atomics. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the proposal process from start to finish, working with various stakeholders and utilizing your strong communication and project management skills.   1. Manage the proposal process: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the proposal development process, including timeline, content creation, and submission.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and finance, to gather necessary information and ensure alignment on proposal strategies.
  3. Utilize strong communication skills: Communicate clearly and effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure all proposal requirements are met.
  4. Conduct research and gather information: Conduct market and competitive research to inform proposal strategies and gather necessary information from internal and external sources.
  5. Ensure accuracy and quality: Review and edit proposal content for accuracy, consistency, and quality, adhering to company brand and style guidelines.
  6. Project management: Develop and manage project plans, milestones, and deliverables to ensure proposals are submitted on time and meet all requirements.
  7. Identify and mitigate risks: Proactively identify potential risks and issues in the proposal process and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful proposal submission.
  8. Manage multiple proposals: Handle multiple proposals simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet tight deadlines.
  9. Mentor and train team members: Provide guidance and support to team members on proposal processes, best practices, and tools.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends: Keep abreast of industry developments and trends in the energy sector to inform proposal strategies and messaging.
  11. Monitor proposal outcomes: Track and analyze proposal outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase success rates.
  12. Adhere to company policies and procedures: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the proposal process.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Proposal Management, Preferably Within The Energy Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of The Energy Sector, Including Renewable Energy Sources And Regulations.

  • Excellent Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Proposals And Deadlines Simultaneously.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Coordinating Cross-Functional Teams To Develop And Deliver Winning Proposals.
