- Provide technical expertise and support for the MQ-9B SkyGuardian Global Sustainment (SGSS) program.
- Ensure successful execution of the SGSS program by coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and identify and mitigate potential risks or issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products and services.
- Communicate project status and updates to management and stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and quality standards.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers on project tasks and technical issues.
- Participate in proposal development and bid processes for potential new projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology related to the SGSS program.
- Represent General Atomics in a professional and positive manner to customers, partners, and vendors.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering: A Project Engineer For The Mq-9B Skyguardian Sgss Job At General Atomics Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Preferably In A Relevant Field Such As Aerospace Or Mechanical Engineering.
Prior Experience In Aircraft Sustainment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Aircraft Sustainment, With A Focus On Unmanned Aerial Systems (Uas) Or Remotely Piloted Aircraft (Rpa). This Experience Should Include Maintenance, Repair, And Overhaul (Mro) Activities.
Knowledge Of Mq-9B Skyguardian: The Project Engineer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Mq-9B Skyguardian Uas, Its Systems, And Its Capabilities. This Includes Knowledge Of Avionics, Propulsion, And Structural Components.
Project Management Skills: As A Project Engineer, The Candidate Must Have Excellent Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Plan, Organize, And Execute Complex Sustainment Projects. They Should Also Have Experience In Budgeting, Resource Allocation, And Risk Management.
Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial For Success In This Role. The Project Engineer Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Team Members, Stakeholders, And Vendors To Ensure That Project Goals Are Met. They Should Also Possess Excellent Technical Writing Skills For Producing Reports And Documentation.
