General Atomics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team. As an ISSO, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's information and assets from potential threats.   1. Develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with industry regulations and company guidelines.
  2. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks within the organization's systems and networks.
  3. Monitor and maintain security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
  4. Identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents and breaches in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of critical systems and data throughout their lifecycle.
  6. Conduct training and awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices and procedures.
  7. Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and trends, and make recommendations for improvements to the organization's security posture.
  8. Work with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with relevant security standards.
  9. Maintain accurate and detailed security documentation, including security plans, risk assessments, and incident response plans.
  10. Respond to security-related inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders, including clients and regulatory agencies.
  11. Continuously evaluate and improve the organization's security posture through regular testing and risk assessments.
  12. Act as a liaison between the organization and external security vendors and service providers.
  13. Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning to ensure the security of critical systems and data in the event of a disaster.
  14. Collaborate with IT and other teams to implement security controls and measures in new systems and technologies.
  15. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information and security incidents.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Information Security, Preferably In A Government Or Defense Industry Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Laws And Regulations, Such As The National Institute Of Standards And Technology (Nist) Special Publications And Federal Information Security Management Act (Fisma).

  • Experience With Security Assessment And Authorization Processes, Including Risk Management Framework (Rmf) And Security Control Assessment (Sca).

  • Professional Certifications Such As Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp) Or Certified Information Security Manager (Cism) Are Highly Preferred.
