- Conduct flight tests of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and record accurate and detailed data.
- Analyze flight test data and identify any issues or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to implement recommended improvements to UAV systems.
- Use your expertise in aerospace engineering to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.
- Create and maintain detailed flight test plans and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations and company safety protocols during flight tests.
- Communicate test results and recommendations to project managers and other stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of UAV systems during flight tests.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions during flight tests.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in UAV technology.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on the development of new UAV systems.
- Mentor and train junior flight test engineers on best practices and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and organized flight test records and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the integration and testing of new components and systems.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in all flight test activities.
Bachelor's Degree In Aerospace Engineering Or Related Field.
Familiarity With Faa Regulations And Certification Processes.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Flight Testing, Preferably In The Aerospace Industry.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Flight Test Principles And Procedures, Including Data Collection And Analysis.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Pilots, Engineers, And Other Team Members.
