- Develop and implement company-wide environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Create and maintain an effective emergency response plan and train employees on proper procedures.
- Stay updated on all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to environmental, health, and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential safety concerns in new projects and processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of EHS professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Monitor and analyze EHS data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on EHS policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and serve as the primary point of contact for EHS related matters.
- Conduct investigations into incidents and accidents and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Develop and manage the EHS budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Regularly report on EHS performance to senior management and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure they meet EHS standards and requirements.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Health And Safety, Occupational Safety And Health, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental Health And Safety Regulations.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Various Departments.
Professional Certifications Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (Chmm) Preferred.
