- Manage and oversee all security operations and procedures related to contract programs at General Atomics.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with government regulations and company standards.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all security-related matters pertaining to contract programs.
- Conduct security briefings and trainings for employees to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of security clearances and access levels for employees and contractors.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure the security of sensitive information and materials.
- Monitor and track security incidents, investigate any breaches, and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulations related to contract program security and make recommendations for improvement.
- Serve as a liaison with government agencies and other external partners regarding security matters.
- Manage and maintain security systems and technologies, including access control, surveillance, and alarm systems.
- Handle security clearance processes for employees and contractors, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Stay informed of emerging threats and risks to the company’s security and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them.
- Prepare and submit security reports and documentation as required by company policies and government regulations.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Security Clearance: The Alternate Contract Program Security Officer (Acpso) Must Possess A Current And Active Security Clearance From The Department Of Defense, Such As A Top Secret Clearance.
Experience In Industrial Security: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience Working In Industrial Security, Preferably In A Defense Or Aerospace Company.
Knowledge Of Security Regulations: The Acpso Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Security Regulations And Guidelines, Including The National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (Nispom) And The Defense Security Service (Dss) Assessment And Authorization Process Manual (Daapm).
Strong Communication Skills: As A Key Point Of Contact For Security Matters, The Acpso Should Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Interact With Internal And External Stakeholders.
Attention To Detail: The Acpso Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Quickly Identify And Address Any Security Concerns Or Vulnerabilities. This Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail And The Ability To Analyze Complex Information Accurately.
