
Staff Software Engineer, Vulnerability Management

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's software systems and their vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular assessments of software systems to identify potential vulnerabilities and security risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective vulnerability management strategies and solutions.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging security threats and industry best practices to ensure the organization's software systems are protected.
- Utilize strong coding skills and knowledge of various programming languages to proactively address vulnerabilities in software systems.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in the design and architecture of new software systems to ensure security is built in from the beginning.
- Conduct regular security training and awareness sessions for development teams to promote a culture of security.
- Conduct thorough investigations and analysis of security incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Continuously monitor and track vulnerabilities, prioritize them, and work with development teams to remediate them in a timely manner.
- Regularly report on vulnerability management efforts and provide updates to management and other stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on software security and provide guidance and support to development teams.
- Participate in risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating identified risks.
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure the security of third-party software systems.
Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As Java, C++, And Python.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Software Engineering, With A Focus On Vulnerability Management.
Experience With Vulnerability Scanning And Assessment Tools, Such As Nessus Or Qualys.
Strong Understanding Of Security Principles And Best Practices, Including Secure Coding And Vulnerability Remediation.
