- Develop and maintain high-quality Android mobile applications for Geico Auto Insurance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features for our mobile apps.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the functionality and usability of the mobile apps.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Android development and make recommendations on how to improve our mobile apps.
- Work closely with product managers and designers to ensure that the mobile apps meet the needs and expectations of our customers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the mobile apps.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Keep track of project progress, identify and communicate any potential risks or roadblocks that may impact project timelines.
- Continuously improve the performance and user experience of our mobile apps.
- Ensure that the mobile apps comply with industry standards and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of coding standards and development processes.
- Take ownership of the development process and actively participate in code reviews and team meetings.
- Mentor and guide junior team members to help them grow and develop their skills.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to gather and understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Represent Geico Auto Insurance as a knowledgeable and reliable expert in Android development.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Computer Science And Programming Is Essential For A Staff Engineer - Mobile (Android) Role At Geico. A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Will Demonstrate The Necessary Technical Knowledge And Skills Required For The Job.
Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In Android Development: To Be Considered For This Role, Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Developing Mobile Applications For The Android Platform.
