  4. Continuously evaluate and improve storage systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or outages related to software-defined storage.

  7. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and departments.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Software Defined Storage (Sds) Technologies: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Principles And Concepts Of Sds, Including Virtualization, Automation, And Orchestration.

  • Proficiency In Storage Management And Administration: The Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing And Administering Various Storage Systems, Such As Block, File, And Object Storage, Using Sds Solutions.

  • Experience With Cloud And Hybrid Storage Environments: As Geico Is Transitioning To A Hybrid Cloud Environment, The Ideal Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience In Deploying And Managing Sds Solutions In Both On-Premises And Cloud Environments.

  • Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: A Software Defined Storage Engineer Should Be Able To Troubleshoot Complex Storage Issues And Provide Effective Solutions, Considering Factors Such As Performance, Scalability, And Data Integrity.

  • Familiarity With Scripting And Automation: The Candidate Should Have Experience In Scripting Languages Like Python And Automation Tools Like Ansible, As These Skills Are Crucial In Automating Storage Operations And Maintaining Consistency Across Different Storage Systems.
