- Develop and implement strategies to enhance observability and reliability of systems and applications.
- Lead and manage the Observability and Reliability Platform team to ensure top-notch performance and innovation.
- Drive continuous improvement and optimization of observability and reliability processes, tools, and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and product management, to identify and address potential issues and improve overall performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to observability and reliability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to foster a culture of learning and growth.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to leverage their expertise and resources.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Monitor and analyze system and application performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and proactively address potential issues.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on observability and reliability initiatives and address any concerns or challenges.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes innovation, accountability, and excellence.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and tools to continuously evolve and improve the observability and reliability platform.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of documentation and standard operating procedures related to observability and reliability processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies related to observability and reliability.
- Participate in budget planning and management for the Observability and Reliability Platform team.
Extensive Experience In Developing And Implementing Observability And Reliability Strategies For Large-Scale Systems, Preferably In The Insurance Or Financial Industry.
Strong Technical Background In Software Engineering, Operations, And Infrastructure, With A Deep Understanding Of Modern Observability Tools And Technologies (E.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Elk Stack).
Proven Track Record Of Leading And Managing Cross-Functional Teams, Including But Not Limited To Software Engineers, Devops Engineers, And Data Analysts, To Achieve High-Performing And Reliable Systems.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Technical Concepts To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders.
Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Mitigate Potential Risks And Issues In A Timely Manner, And Drive Continuous Improvement In System Performance And Reliability.
