
Senior Data Engineer, Finance Data

- Design and maintain finance data infrastructure: The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining the infrastructure that houses and processes finance data for Geico Auto Insurance.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting processes: This role will be responsible for ensuring that all finance data is accurate and up-to-date, and that financial reporting processes are efficient and streamlined.
- Collaborate with team members: The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with other members of the finance data team to design and implement solutions that meet the needs of the department.
- Develop and implement data solutions: This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing data solutions to support finance data needs, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data issues: The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for monitoring data quality and identifying and resolving any data issues that may arise.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices: This role will require staying up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in data engineering and finance data to ensure Geico Auto Insurance remains at the forefront of the industry.
- Ensure data security and confidentiality: The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of all finance data, following industry best practices and company policies.
- Train and mentor junior team members: This individual will be responsible for training and mentoring junior data engineers within the finance data team to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other departments: The Senior Data Engineer will work with other departments, such as finance and IT, to understand their data needs and provide solutions to support their business processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement: This role will continuously evaluate and identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance data infrastructure to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively: The Senior Data Engineer will need to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, such as finance and business leaders, to ensure a clear understanding of data processes
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Data Engineering With A Focus On Financial Data.
Expertise In Database Management, Data Warehousing, And Etl Processes.
Strong Knowledge Of Sql, Python, And Other Programming Languages Used For Data Manipulation And Analysis.
Experience With Financial Systems And Data Sources, Such As Accounting Software, Transactional Databases, And Market Data Feeds.
