  1. Lead the regulatory engagement efforts for Geico Auto Insurance, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Serve as a key member of the legal department, providing expertise and guidance on regulatory matters.
  3. Advocate for the best interests of the company in all regulatory matters, while also maintaining a strong understanding of the insurance industry.
  4. Stay up-to-date on all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to the insurance industry, and communicate any changes or updates to the team.
  5. Work closely with internal stakeholders, including executives and department heads, to address any regulatory concerns or issues.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and industry organizations.
  7. Provide legal advice and support to other departments within the company, ensuring all operations are compliant with relevant regulations.
  8. Conduct thorough research and analysis on regulatory matters, including potential impacts on the company and its policies.
  9. Develop and implement compliance programs and trainings to ensure all employees are aware of and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  10. Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed to address complex or high-profile regulatory issues.
  11. Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory matters, providing guidance and support to other members of the legal team.
  12. Monitor and respond to any regulatory inquiries or investigations, working to resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
  13. Proactively identify any potential areas of risk or non-compliance, and develop strategies to mitigate or address them.
  14. Represent the company in regulatory proceedings and meetings, advocating for our policies and practices.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve our regulatory compliance processes and procedures to ensure they are efficient and effective.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Corporate Legal Work, With A Focus On Regulatory Engagement.

  • Expertise In Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Insurance And Financial Services.

  • Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage With Regulatory Agencies And Represent The Company's Interests.

  • Previous Experience Managing A Team And Providing Leadership In A Corporate Legal Setting.
