Principal Software Engineer - People & Finance Tech

Additionally, you must have experience in leading and managing software engineering teams, as well as in driving technology initiatives from concept to completion. An advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and drive the technology strategy and solutions to support Geico Auto Insurance's People & Finance organizations.
2. Lead and manage a software engineering team.
3. Drive technology initiatives from concept to completion.
4. Create and maintain large-scale applications and software solutions.
5. Develop and troubleshoot software and identify and fix bugs.
6. Research and suggest software solutions and improvements.
7. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure successful completion of projects.
8. Ensure the quality of code and adherence to coding standards.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software engineering best practices and industry trends.
10. Provide mentorship and guidance to software engineers.
