Job Description

At GEICO Auto Insurance, we are looking for a highly experienced and talented Principal Product Manager to join our team and lead the strategy and development of our consumer experience. As the Principal Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the success of our consumer-facing products and ensuring that our customers have an exceptional experience with our brand. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of consumer needs.   1. Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for GEICO Auto Insurance's consumer experience, including identifying key market trends and opportunities, setting product goals and objectives, and defining the product roadmap.
  2. Lead a team of product managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of consumer-facing products that align with business objectives and customer needs.
  3. Conduct market research and analysis to gather insights on consumer behavior, preferences, and pain points, and use this information to inform product decisions and improvements.
  4. Monitor and analyze product performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and track progress towards product goals.
  5. Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the consumer experience by staying informed on industry trends, new technologies, and competitive landscape.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure alignment on product strategy and goals.
  7. Act as a customer advocate and champion, understanding their needs and pain points and using this knowledge to drive product enhancements and improvements.
  8. Collaborate with UX/UI designers, engineers, and other teams to ensure seamless and user-friendly product experiences.
  9. Develop and manage product budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenses, to ensure efficient use of resources.
  10. Communicate product updates, progress, and key decisions to stakeholders and senior leadership in a timely and effective manner.

  • Expertise In Consumer Behavior: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Consumer Behavior, Preferences, And Trends In The Auto Insurance Industry. This Knowledge Will Help Inform The Development Of New Products And Features That Meet The Changing Needs Of Consumers.

  • Proven Experience In Product Management: The Principal Product Manager Should Have A Track Record Of Success In Product Management, Including Launching And Managing Successful Products In A Consumer-Facing Environment. This Experience Should Include Managing Product Lifecycles, Conducting Market Research, And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: In Order To Make Data-Driven Decisions, The Principal Product Manager Should Have Strong Analytical Skills And Be Able To Interpret Complex Data Sets. This Will Allow Them To Identify Opportunities For Improvement And Measure The Success Of New Products And Features.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Leader, The Principal Product Manager Should Have Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team. They Should Also Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Stakeholders, Both Internally And Externally, To Drive Alignment And Support For Product Initiatives.
