Principal Engineer – IaaS

They should have a strong aptitude for problem solving, be able to think strategically, and demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills.Requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.• 10+ years of experience in IaaS engineering.• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams.• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based IaaS solutions.• Knowledge of IaaS automation and orchestration tools.• Understanding of networking principles and cloud security architectures.• Understanding of DevOps principles and best practices.• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development of IaaS solutions for Geico Auto Insurance customers.
2. Design, implement, and manage cloud-based IaaS solutions.
3. Implement IaaS automation and orchestration tools.
4. Create and maintain cloud-based security architectures.
5. Develop DevOps best practices and principles.
6. Mentor and lead engineering teams.
7. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of IaaS solutions.
8. Monitor and review IaaS performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve IaaS-related issues.
10. Stay up-to-date on new IaaS innovations, technologies, and solutions.
