Principal Engineer – IaaS

Geico Auto Insurance is looking for an experienced Principal Engineer – IaaS to join our team and take our Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to the next level. The ideal candidate will have expertise in enterprise IaaS technologies, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a deep knowledge of cloud computing.We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment. Our Principal Engineer – IaaS will play a key role in driving IaaS initiatives and strategy, ensuring our infrastructure is reliable, secure, and cost-effective.The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a IaaS related role, and a proven track record of successful IaaS deployments. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred. Expertise in public and private cloud technologies is essential, as is experience with automation and orchestration tools. 8. Assist in the development of IaaS related policies and procedures.
9. Establish best practices and standards for IaaS related activities.
10. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
