
Insurance Regulatory Counsel
Geico Auto Insurance is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Insurance Regulatory Counsel to join our legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing advice on legal and regulatory matters related to our insurance products and services. You should have a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry, as well as expertise in state and federal regulations.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for staying up-to-date on the most recent regulatory and industry developments. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a JD from an accredited law school, be admitted and in good standing with the applicable state bar, and have at least 5 years of experience practicing insurance law. Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and counsel on matters related to insurance products and services
- Monitor state and federal regulations related to the insurance industry
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Analyze and interpret applicable laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts related to insurance products and services
- Represent the company in regulatory proceedings and other legal proceedings as necessary
- Monitor changes in the insurance industry and advise the company on how to best respond
- Research and recommend strategies to reduce risk and liability associated with insurance products and services
- Stay abreast of emerging industry trends and best practices
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal teams and external stakeholders.
