
Insurance Regulatory Counsel
At Geico Auto Insurance, we seek a highly motivated and dedicated Insurance Regulatory Counsel to join our legal team. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry is required, with a deep understanding of the regulations governing insurance products. Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, rules and regulations is a must, as is the ability to interpret and apply them in a business environment.The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.The Insurance Regulatory Counsel will provide counsel to the Legal and Compliance departments, and have the opportunity to work on a variety of legal and regulatory matters. Responsibilities:
- Provide counsel to the Legal and Compliance departments on a variety of legal and regulatory matters.
- Interpret and apply relevant state and federal laws, rules and regulations in a business environment.
- Maintain knowledge of the regulations governing insurance products.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Prepare and communicate legal documents and opinions.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings.
- Analyze legal issues and develop strategies to resolve them.
- Advise management on best practices for compliance with state and federal laws.
- Monitor changes in legal and regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the organization.
