
Government Relations Counsel
Geico Auto Insurance is seeking an experienced Government Relations Counsel to join our team of professionals dedicated to providing the best insurance products and services to our customers. This role requires an individual with a passion for the insurance industry and a deep understanding of government regulations and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and manage projects in a timely manner.We are looking for a Government Relations Counsel who is highly organized and experienced in legislative and regulatory issues. The successful candidate will have a strong educational background, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the capacity to independently plan and complete projects according to deadlines. The successful candidate will possess outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Research and analyze current and proposed government regulations and compliance • Develop and maintain relationships with government officials and other stakeholders • Represent Geico Auto Insurance in meetings and hearings with government agencies • Prepare and present reports, testimony, and other documents to the government • Monitor legislative and regulatory activity to identify potential impacts on the company • Review current policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations • Provide strategic counsel to management on government relations matters • Develop and implement strategies to ensure successful government relations initiatives • Assist in the development and implementation of new insurance products and services • Respond to inquiries regarding government regulations and compliance • Provide advice and guidance to management on legislative and regulatory issues • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with government regulations • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry and its associated regulations
