
Database Administrator
At Geico Auto Insurance, we are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our IT team and help ensure our data systems are efficient and secure. We’re looking for a self-motivated professional who can work independently and has excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of database design and development, the ability to configure and manage databases, and experience optimizing database performance. If you have a passion for data and are looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field• 5+ years of experience in database administration• Expertise in database design, development, optimization, and maintenance• Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and other scripting languages• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other database technologies• Ability to maintain data integrity and security• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance and security • Configure and manage databases using SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and other scripting languages • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise • Ensure data integrity and security of databases • Work with the IT team to develop and implement strategies for database optimization • Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to databases • Research and recommend new database technologies • Develop and implement database policies and procedures • Maintain documentation of database structure and usage
