- Investigate and evaluate complex commercial casualty trucking claims to determine coverage and liability.
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other insurance professionals to gather information and negotiate settlements.
- Analyze policy coverage and determine appropriate course of action for each claim.
- Handle large caseloads and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely and accurate resolution of claims.
- Review and interpret insurance policies, state laws, and industry regulations to accurately determine coverage and liability.
- Utilize various resources and tools to investigate and gather evidence related to claims.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as underwriting and legal, to ensure proper handling of claims.
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and concerns from clients and stakeholders.
- Document all claim activities and maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Mentor and train junior claims examiners on company procedures, industry standards, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations related to commercial trucking insurance.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve departmental processes and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Insurance, Or A Related Field.
Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In Commercial Casualty Trucking Claims Handling, With A Strong Understanding Of State And Federal Regulations.
Proven Track Record Of Effectively Managing And Resolving Complex Trucking Claims.
Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Work With Multiple Parties Involved In A Claim.
Knowledge Of Trucking Industry Practices, Including Common Types Of Accidents And Equipment, As Well As Experience Working With Various Insurance Policies And Coverage Options.
