Job Description

Gap is looking for a passionate and driven Senior Specialist for our Federal Government Affairs team. In this role, you will be a key liaison between the government and Gap, advocating on our behalf and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. You will also provide strategic guidance and input on relevant legislative and regulatory issues.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in government affairs or public policy and a proven track record of success in developing and executing government affairs strategies. You should have a thorough understanding of the legislative and executive process, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic.This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and dynamic team and make an impact on a global scale. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute strategic government affairs strategies to increase Gap’s influence and visibility with the federal government.
  2. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments to identify potential implications for Gap.
  3. Represent Gap before the federal government, advocating on behalf of the company and advocating for compliance with federal regulations.
  4. Provide strategic guidance and input on relevant legislative and regulatory issues.
  5. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a coordinated and effective government affairs strategy.
  6. Manage relationships with relevant external stakeholders and organizations.
  7. Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings to internal and external audiences.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with government officials and other relevant stakeholders.
  9. Maintain a thorough understanding of the legislative and executive processes.
  10. Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Stay organized and detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic.
