
Retail Supervisor, Merchandising

- Oversee the merchandising operations of the store, ensuring that all products are displayed in an attractive and organized manner.
- Set and maintain high visual merchandising standards in line with company guidelines.
- Ensure that inventory levels are maintained and products are restocked in a timely manner.
- Train and develop a team of merchandisers to ensure they are knowledgeable about product placement and visual merchandising standards.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to make informed decisions about product placement and stock levels.
- Collaborate with store management to develop and implement effective merchandising strategies.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular store walks to ensure visual standards and product placement are consistent across the store.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries and purchases.
- Act as a role model for the team by demonstrating strong leadership skills and a passion for the retail industry.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
- Proactively identify and address any merchandising or operational issues that may arise.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and make recommendations for new products or product placement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute promotions and special events.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment at all times.
Previous Retail Supervisory Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Role, Preferably In A Retail Setting. This Experience Should Demonstrate Strong Leadership Skills, An Ability To Manage And Motivate A Team, And A Track Record Of Achieving Sales Targets.
Knowledge Of Merchandising Principles: A Retail Supervisor, Merchandising At Gap Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Visual Merchandising Principles And Techniques. This Includes Knowledge Of Product Placement, Store Layout, And Inventory Management.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Supervisor, This Role Will Require Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Manage And Communicate With Team Members, As Well As Interact With Customers. Candidates Should Be Able To Clearly Articulate Expectations, Provide Feedback, And Resolve Any Conflicts That May Arise.
Strong Customer Service Orientation: Gap Is Known For Its Exceptional Customer Service, And A Retail Supervisor, Merchandising Should Embody This By Providing Excellent Customer Service And Ensuring That The Team Does The Same.
