  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  2. Oversee all aspects of the company's procurement operations, including sourcing, purchasing, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
  3. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in procurement processes.
  4. Lead a team of procurement specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure the team meets their objectives and performance goals.
  5. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and provide solutions to meet those needs.
  6. Monitor and analyze market trends and supplier performance to inform strategic decisions.
  7. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and quality supply of goods and services.
  9. Evaluate and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  10. Stay updated on industry best practices and implement them in procurement processes.
  11. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  12. Provide regular reports on procurement performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  13. Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in procurement.
  14. Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in procurement and implement them to drive innovation and efficiency.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and motivation within the procurement team.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Procurement Processes: A Head Of Procurement At Gap Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Procurement Processes, Including Sourcing, Supplier Management, Contract Negotiation, And Inventory Management.

  • Experience In The Retail Industry: Gap Is A Retail Company, So Having Experience In The Industry Is Crucial For The Head Of Procurement Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Supply Chain Management, Retail Trends, And Consumer Behavior.
