Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and creative Assistant Manager, Merchandising to join our team at Gap. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and organized self-starter, with a passion for merchandising and a drive to provide excellent customer service. As an Assistant Manager, Merchandising, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team that’s focused on delivering an exceptional shopping experience through curating our product assortment. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and leading an engaged team that’s dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.The successful candidate will have at least two years of retail management experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing a team. You should be comfortable with data-driven decision making and passionate about exceeding customer expectations. A successful Assistant Manager, Merchandising must also be skilled in problem-solving and have a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Lead an engaged team that’s dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.
  3. Curate the product assortment to create an exceptional shopping experience for customers.
  4. Utilize data-driven decision making to improve store performance.
  5. Monitor and analyze sales performance, identify areas of improvement, and develop action plans.
  6. Develop strategies to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  7. Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability.
  8. Monitor store expenses and budget, and identify areas for cost savings.
  9. Train and motivate team members to ensure they are performing at their best.
  10. Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
