
Assistant Manager, Merchandising
Gap is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Assistant Manager, Merchandising to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to think strategically about our merchandising operations. You’ll be an integral part of the team, helping to ensure that all of our merchandise is managed and displayed in a way that is both attractive and profitable.To be successful in this role, you should have a knack for understanding customer needs and trends, and a strong understanding of visual merchandising principles. Additionally, you should have experience in retail management, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Above all, you should be creative, self-motivated, and eager to take on new challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the merchandising operations of the store
- Analyze customer needs and trends to ensure that all merchandise is presented in an attractive and profitable way
- Manage the store’s inventory in a way that meets customer demands
- Supervise and motivate retail sales team members to ensure quality customer service
- Oversee the visual merchandising of the store, including the arrangement and display of merchandise
- Monitor sales performance and devise strategies to improve profitability
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and pricing
- Train and support retail staff in merchandising and operations
- Build relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor competition and market trends to keep the store up to date with the latest industry developments
