As an Area Manager, you will oversee the asset protection operations for multiple stores in your designated area, ensuring the implementation and compliance of all policies and procedures.   1. Develop and implement effective asset protection strategies and procedures for multiple stores in the designated area.
  2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the asset protection team, including hiring, training, and managing performance.
  3. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to asset protection.
  4. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential security risks and develop action plans to mitigate them.
  5. Collaborate with store managers and district managers to identify and address any asset protection concerns.
  6. Remain up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in asset protection to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  7. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  8. Manage and track the budget and expenses for the asset protection department.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement agencies to support asset protection efforts.
  10. Investigate and resolve any incidents of theft, fraud, or other security breaches.
  11. Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on asset protection initiatives, challenges, and successes.
  12. Lead by example and foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and safety within the team.
  13. Collaborate with other departments, such as loss prevention, legal, and human resources, to ensure a comprehensive approach to asset protection.
  14. Proactively identify potential risks and implement preventative measures to safeguard company assets.
  15. Travel to various stores in the designated area to conduct assessments, trainings, and meetings with store teams.
  16. Represent the company in legal proceedings related to asset protection, if necessary.
  17. Develop and maintain relationships with external security vendors and service providers.
  18. Mentor and develop the skills of team members to support their career growth and succession planning.
