Job Description

As an Area Manager, you will play an essential role in protecting our company's assets by implementing and overseeing effective loss prevention strategies.   1. Develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies to protect company assets in all stores within the designated area.
  2. Lead and manage a team of asset protection associates, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the successful execution of loss prevention strategies.
  3. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify any potential security threats or vulnerabilities within the designated area.
  4. Collaborate with store managers and other relevant stakeholders to identify and address any security issues or concerns.
  5. Utilize data and analytics to identify patterns and trends in theft and fraud, and develop and implement targeted solutions.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in asset protection to continuously improve and enhance loss prevention strategies.
  7. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to asset protection and safety.
  8. Investigate and resolve any incidents of theft, fraud, or other security-related incidents within the designated area.
  9. Build strong relationships with local law enforcement and other external partners to enhance security measures and prevent loss.
  10. Train and educate store associates on proper security protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and employees.
  11. Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on the status of security measures and any potential risks or concerns.
  12. Act as a role model for the company's values and promote a culture of safety and security within the designated area.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve upon existing security measures and procedures to adapt to changing circumstances and emerging threats.
  14. Maintain accurate and thorough records of all security incidents, investigations, and training activities.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times, both internally and externally.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Retail Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, And/Or Security Management.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices, Including Cctv Systems, Alarm Systems, And Theft Prevention Strategies.

  • Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Asset Protection Associates.

  • Familiarity With Gap's Brand And Company Values, As Well As A Commitment To Upholding Company Policies And Procedures.
