  1. Analyze and underwrite affordable housing loan applications to assess risk and determine eligibility for Freddie Mac's policies and procedures.
  2. Conduct thorough due diligence and financial analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
  3. Utilize specialized knowledge of the affordable housing market to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation for loan underwriting.
  5. Provide accurate and timely recommendations for loan approvals or denials based on analysis and underwriting findings.
  6. Ensure all underwriting decisions are in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  7. Maintain a deep understanding of Freddie Mac's products and services, as well as industry trends and regulations related to affordable housing.
  8. Communicate effectively with clients, partners, and colleagues to provide exceptional customer service and support.
  9. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of loan underwriting.
  10. Act as a subject matter expert on affordable housing for internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Participate in training and development opportunities to continually enhance knowledge and skills.
  12. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all underwriting activities and decisions.
  13. Adhere to deadlines and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to promoting affordable housing opportunities for all individuals and families.
  15. Represent Freddie Mac in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Economics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Underwriting Affordable Housing Loans.

  • Strong Understanding Of Affordable Housing Programs, Including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits And Hud Programs.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With Strong Attention To Detail And Time Management Skills.
