  1. Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies related to collateral assets to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  2. Lead and manage a team of risk management professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day responsibilities.
  3. Conduct regular assessments of Freddie Mac's collateral risk exposure and identify potential areas of vulnerability.
  4. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to evaluate and mitigate risks associated with collateral assets.
  5. Monitor market trends and changes in collateral valuation methods to anticipate potential risks and adjust strategies accordingly.
  6. Oversee the development and maintenance of risk management systems and tools to effectively monitor and report on collateral risk.
  7. Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures.
  8. Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors on the status of collateral risk and any necessary actions to mitigate potential risks.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance risk management capabilities.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline collateral risk management processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Risk Management: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Risk Management, Preferably In The Financial Services Industry. They Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Risk Assessment Methodologies And The Ability To Identify, Measure, And Mitigate Potential Risks.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Collateral Risk: The Senior Director Of Collateral Risk Management Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Evaluation And Management Of Collateral Risk For Freddie Mac's Mortgage Portfolio. Therefore, The Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Collateral Risk, Including Appraisal Processes, Loan-To-Value Ratios, And Credit Risk.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Senior Leader Within The Organization, The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Teams And Driving Results. They Should Have Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Mentor And Develop Team Members.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Candidate Should Possess The Ability To Think Strategically And Identify Potential Risks And Opportunities For Improvement Within The Collateral Risk Management Function. They Should Also Have Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Address Complex Issues And Make Data-Driven Decisions.

  • Regulatory Knowledge And Compliance Expertise: Freddie Mac Is Subject To A Variety Of Regulatory Requirements, And The Senior Director Of Collateral Risk Management Should Have A Strong Understanding Of These Regulations And How They Impact The Organization.
