
Internal Audit Lead - Financial Crimes

- Lead and execute internal audits focused on identifying and mitigating risks related to fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes.
- Develop and implement audit plans and procedures to effectively assess the organization's controls and processes.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of vulnerability and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices related to financial crime prevention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data and information for audit purposes.
- Identify and communicate potential areas of concern or non-compliance to senior management.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.
- Lead and supervise a team of auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.
- Provide training and guidance to team members and other employees on financial crime prevention and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on financial crime prevention, including fraud, money laundering, and other related areas.
- Uphold ethical standards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Continuously evaluate and improve internal audit processes and procedures.
- Represent the organization in external meetings and conferences related to financial crime prevention.
- Act as a key player in the organization's efforts to prevent financial crimes and protect the company's reputation.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Internal Audit, Financial Crimes, Or Related Role
Extensive Knowledge Of Financial Crimes Laws And Regulations, Including Bsa/Aml, Ofac, And Fraud Prevention
Strong Leadership Skills, With Experience Managing And Leading Teams
Professional Certification Such As Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (Cams) Or Certified Fraud Examiner (Cfe) Preferred
