We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Counterparty Risk & Compliance Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the counterparty risk and compliance functions for our organization. This is a critical position that requires an individual with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of risk management principles, and a passion for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.   1. Develop and implement counterparty risk management strategies and policies to ensure the overall financial stability of Freddie Mac.
  2. Monitor and assess counterparty risk exposure and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
  3. Conduct thorough due diligence on potential counterparties and make informed decisions on their suitability for partnership.
  4. Oversee compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and ensure timely submission of required reports.
  5. Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to identify and address any potential compliance issues.
  6. Stay updated on industry developments and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and communicate any necessary updates to the organization.
  7. Conduct regular audits and reviews of counterparty risk and compliance processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners and regulators to facilitate effective risk management and compliance.
  9. Train and educate employees on counterparty risk and compliance policies and procedures.
  10. Prepare and present reports on counterparty risk and compliance to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  11. Manage a team of risk and compliance professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to ensure the most efficient and effective management of counterparty risk and compliance.
  13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all counterparty risk and compliance activities.
  14. Implement measures to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
  15. Serve as a subject matter expert on counterparty risk and compliance matters and provide guidance to other departments as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Finance, Risk Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Counterparty Risk Management, Compliance, Or A Similar Role Within The Financial Services Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Relevant Regulations, Such As Dodd-Frank Act And Basel Iii, And Their Impact On Counterparty Risk Management.

  • Experience With Developing And Implementing Risk Management Policies And Procedures.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Mitigate Potential Risks And Compliance Issues.
