Accounting & Finance Intern

Freddie Mac is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Accounting & Finance Intern to join our team. In this role, you will gain experience and knowledge of accounting and finance while helping us to further our mission of creating housing opportunities for all Americans. Our ideal candidate has a passion for learning and is eager to develop their skills in the accounting and finance fields.Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field • Understanding of financial analysis, accounting principles, and financial reporting • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel • Excellent problem-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reports • Analyze financial data and create reports to help in decision-making • Develop financial models to analyze various scenarios • Research and evaluate various accounting and finance related topics • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasting of financial results • Assist in preparing financial analysis and reports for senior management • Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures • Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable • Assist in the preparation of tax returns • Participate in internal and external financial audits • Other duties as assigned
