- Work closely with the director and other production team members to ensure proper lighting for all segments.
- Set up and adjust lighting for various studio sets, including news desks, green screens, and interview areas.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues related to lighting equipment and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with other technicians and crew members to achieve a cohesive visual aesthetic for the broadcast.
- Continuously monitor and adjust lighting during live broadcasts to ensure optimal visual quality.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to enhance the overall look of the broadcast.
- Maintain a clean and organized lighting workspace, including storage and inventory of equipment.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of lighting for remote broadcasts and special events.
- Communicate effectively with producers and talent to understand their lighting needs and make necessary adjustments.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling lighting equipment.
- Stay flexible and adaptable to changes in production schedules and last-minute requests.
- Complete all tasks efficiently and within specified timelines.
- Continuously strive for excellence in lighting quality and make suggestions for improvements.
- Train and mentor new lighting technicians as needed.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience Working As A Lighting Technician In A News Or Broadcast Setting.
Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Lighting Equipment, Including Knowledge Of Different Types Of Lights, Fixtures, And Control Systems.
Familiarity With Studio And Location Lighting Setups, Including Knowledge Of Lighting Techniques For Different Types Of Shots And Scenarios.
Ability To Work Well Under Pressure And Adapt To Fast-Paced, Live Broadcast Environments.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills, As Well As The Ability To Take Direction And Work As Part Of A Team.
