  1. Design and optimize the layout of battery manufacturing facilities for efficient production of electric and hybrid vehicles.
  2. Utilize expertise in engineering and manufacturing to develop innovative and sustainable layout designs.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production needs and incorporate them into the layout design.
  4. Conduct research and stay updated on industry developments to ensure the layout design is aligned with industry standards and best practices.
  5. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed and accurate layout drawings.
  6. Analyze and evaluate existing layout designs for potential improvements and make recommendations for modifications.
  7. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis to determine the most suitable layout design.
  8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all layout designs.
  9. Communicate consistently and effectively with stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into the layout design.
  10. Monitor and track progress of layout design projects and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion.
  11. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the layout design process.
  12. Continuously seek out ways to improve the layout design process and implement changes as needed.
  13. Stay up-to-date with advancements in battery technology and incorporate them into the layout design.
  14. Train and mentor junior layout engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of Ford Motor Company and contribute to the company's overall success.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Layout Design For Battery Manufacturing Or Related Industries.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Battery Cell And Pack Assembly Processes, Including Material Handling, Automation, And Quality Control.

  • Proficiency In Cad Software, Such As Autocad Or Solidworks, For Creating And Modifying Layout Designs.

  • Familiarity With Industry Standards And Regulations For Battery Manufacturing, Such As Iso 26262 And Ul 2580.
