As an Interior Trim Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing the interior components of our vehicles.   1. Design and develop interior trim components for Ford vehicles, including but not limited to door panels, dashboards, and seating.
  2. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as design, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure the timely and successful launch of new vehicle programs.
  3. Utilize your expertise in automotive design to create innovative and visually appealing interior components that meet company standards and customer expectations.
  4. Conduct research on new materials and technologies to improve the quality, functionality, and cost-efficiency of interior trim components.
  5. Collaborate with suppliers to source and evaluate materials, negotiate costs, and ensure on-time delivery of components.
  6. Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports, to support the design and development process.
  7. Perform feasibility studies and conduct design reviews to ensure that components are manufacturable and meet performance requirements.
  8. Utilize CAD software to create 3D models and 2D drawings of interior trim components.
  9. Conduct testing and validation of interior trim components to ensure they meet safety, durability, and performance standards.
  10. Identify and troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues, and propose and implement solutions to improve product quality and reduce costs.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive design and incorporate them into the development of interior trim components.
  12. Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met and objectives are achieved.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies and procedures.
  14. Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and interns.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or A Related Field.

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Automotive Interior Trim Design And Development.

  • Proficient In Cad Software, Such As Catia Or Nx, For 3D Modeling And Detailing.

  • Strong Understanding Of Manufacturing Processes And Materials Used In Automotive Interior Trim.
