- Develop and implement efficient and streamlined release processes for software updates in the automotive industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates for vehicles.
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of software releases, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers.
- Continuously improve and optimize release processes through automation and innovative solutions.
- Work closely with software developers and engineers to ensure smooth integration and deployment of code changes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software releases, working with relevant teams to identify root cause and implement solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in DevOps and OTA technology, and incorporate them into the release process.
- Document and maintain release procedures and processes for future reference.
- Communicate release updates and progress to relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.
- Proactively identify and address any potential risks or roadblocks in the release process.
- Train and mentor team members on release and OTA processes and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Knowledge Of Devops Principles And Best Practices: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Devops Methodologies, Including Continuous Integration And Delivery, Automated Testing, And Infrastructure As Code.
Experience With Release Management: The Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing Software Releases, Including Planning, Coordinating, And Deploying Software Updates Across Various Environments.
Familiarity With Over-The-Air (Ota) Updates: As A Devops Release & Ota Engineer At Ford Motor, The Candidate Will Need A Strong Understanding Of Ota Updates For Automotive Software, Including The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Any Issues That May Arise During The Update Process.
Proficiency In Coding And Scripting Languages: The Candidate Should Have Experience In Coding And Scripting Languages Such As Python, Bash, Java, Or C++, As Well As Experience With Automation Tools Like Ansible, Puppet, Or Chef.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: As Part Of A Devops Team, The Candidate Will Need To Work Closely With Developers, Testers, And Other Stakeholders To Ensure Smooth Software Releases And Ota Updates. Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential For This Role.
