
Managing Editor
Establish and implement a process for internal talent mobility, career pathing & succession planning in partnership with HR with a focus on offering equitable opportunities based on merit and contributions. Ensure all internal talent is provided with consistent feedback as it relates to goals, performance and career mobility opportunities. Identify and implement learning & development needs for editorial teams to ensure we have the right talent, in the right positions, with appropriate career progression plans. Ensure our external recruiting process offer the opportunity to identify a broader pool of candidates and that are interviewing, testing and decision processes are fair and equally administered. Actively anticipate and address business challenges before they arise. Help ensure that the editorial voice is preserved across all newsroom initiatives – from marquee lists like the Forbes 400, World’s Most Influential Women’s and Billionaires rankings to Under 30 and Philanthropy events to other enterprising journalistic endeavors.
10+ years of journalism experience delivering to multiple platforms
Experience managing budgets
Experience in managing, coaching and motivating teams in a content/editorial and/or creative environment
5+ years recruiting and hiring for journalism teams, with track record of hiring and developing diverse teams
