As a Specialty Merchandise Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers have access to a wide range of high-quality and unique products.   1. Greet and welcome customers to the store, providing a positive and friendly atmosphere.
  2. Maintain a deep knowledge of all specialty merchandise products and their features, benefits, and uses.
  3. Ensure proper stocking and placement of specialty merchandise products on the sales floor.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and work with management to replenish stock as needed.
  5. Create visually appealing displays that catch the attention of customers and drive sales.
  6. Use effective merchandising techniques to promote and highlight specialty merchandise products.
  7. Assist customers in finding and selecting specialty merchandise products, providing product information and recommendations.
  8. Ring up sales and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  9. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and backroom areas.
  10. Communicate with management regarding any issues or concerns related to specialty merchandise products.
  11. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
  12. Continuously learn about new products and trends in the specialty merchandise industry.
  13. Meet and exceed company standards for productivity, efficiency, and customer service.
  14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security measures.
  15. Participate in training and development opportunities to improve job knowledge and skills.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Specialty Merchandise Associate At Food Lion Should Possess A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Demonstrate Basic Education And Communication Skills.

  • Previous Retail Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Customer Service Or Sales Role. This Experience Will Help Them Understand The Demands Of The Job And Perform Efficiently.

  • Physical Ability: The Job Of A Specialty Merchandise Associate Involves Lifting And Carrying Objects Up To 50 Pounds, Standing For Long Periods, And Performing Repetitive Tasks. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
