- Ensure the quality and freshness of all perishable products for our customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized perishable department, including proper rotation and storage of products.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking of products.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of our customers.
- Handle and process all perishable products according to company standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to create appealing and visually appealing displays.
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and make recommendations to customers.
- Handle customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Work efficiently and effectively to meet daily goals and tasks.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to improve job knowledge and skills.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations: A Perishable Associate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Food Safety Regulations And Be Able To Ensure That All Perishable Products Are Handled And Stored Properly To Prevent Contamination.
Ability To Maintain Inventory: This Role Requires The Ability To Track Inventory Levels And Ensure That Perishable Products Are Ordered And Restocked In A Timely Manner To Meet Customer Demand.
Experience With Perishable Products: Previous Experience Working With Perishable Products, Such As Produce, Dairy, And Meat, Is Highly Desirable For A Perishable Associate. This Will Help Them Understand Proper Handling And Storage Techniques.
Attention To Detail: As Perishable Products Have A Short Shelf Life, It Is Crucial For A Perishable Associate To Have Strong Attention To Detail And Be Able To Identify Any Products That Are Past Their Expiration Date Or Show Signs Of Spoilage.
Customer Service Skills: Perishable Associates Interact With Customers On A Daily Basis, So Having Strong Customer Service Skills Is Essential. This Includes Being Friendly, Approachable, And Able To Answer Any Questions Or Concerns About The Store's Perishable Products.
