  1. Oversee the daily operations of the perishable departments, including meat, seafood, deli, bakery, and produce.
  2. Ensure that all perishable products are received, stored, and displayed according to Food Lion's quality and safety standards.
  3. Manage and train a team of employees, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering and restocking products as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other department managers to develop and implement effective sales and promotional strategies.
  6. Conduct regular quality and freshness checks on all perishable products, taking corrective actions when necessary.
  7. Implement and enforce Food Lion's sanitation and hygiene standards in all perishable areas.
  8. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, resolve issues, and ensure timely deliveries.
  9. Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for increasing profitability and improving customer satisfaction.
  10. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing perishable department that meets Food Lion's standards.
  11. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and sanitation.
  12. Train and educate employees on proper handling, storage, and merchandising techniques for perishable products.
  13. Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to perishable products, striving to provide excellent customer service at all times.
  14. Stay updated on industry trends and developments to make informed decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
  15. Lead by example and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
