- Collaborate with Category Manager to develop and implement strategic plans to increase sales and profitability.
- Monitor and track sales performance, market share, and competitive activity to make data-driven decisions.
- Work closely with vendors to negotiate pricing, promotions, and product selection to ensure competitive pricing and availability.
- Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns and promotions to drive sales and increase brand awareness.
- Manage inventory levels and make recommendations for product assortment and replenishment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, operations, and marketing.
- Monitor and analyze consumer feedback and make recommendations for product improvements and new product launches.
- Communicate and collaborate with store teams to ensure proper merchandising and execution of category plans.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency within assigned categories.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor strategies to make proactive business decisions.
- Support Category Manager in developing and managing category budgets and forecasting.
- Assist in managing vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess product placement, pricing, and overall category performance.
- Train and mentor team members on category management best practices and processes.
